Dance Dimensions is a renowned dance school for aspiring dancers of all ages, located in the heart of the Desert Community. Established in 2004, Dance Dimensions is family owned and operated and in its 20th season of providing exceptional dance technique and character growth for aspiring dancers.
Artistic Director / Owner
Sydney Jones
Sydney started dancing at the age of three and her passion for movement and expression through dance only grew with each passing year. She continued to excel as a dancer. Sydney trained in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Modern, Musical Theatre, Tap and Singing. She has been training in dance for 25 years and teaching dance for over 12 years. She has trained with top dance professionals, such as Kathleen Hartin, Shea New and Michelle Baker, Tyrone Baker, and Josh King.
In 2022, Sydney realized her dreams and took over Dance Dimensions Studio from Kathleen Hartin.
Sydney’s teaching philosophy is to provide students with a solid foundation of dance technique and to help them build their skills from the ground up, while making sure her dancers have FUN! She believes in nurturing her dancers to become hardworking and compassionate individuals who are passionate about dance while kind to others.
Sydney has won Artistic and Choreography Awards with her dancers and looks forward to grow her visions for the studio. Her artistic vision is a natural talent that she cultivates daily as she works, creates and dreams for her dancers to breakthrough any barriers.
Sydney has visions of expanding her dance program to the surrounding communities with her Non-Profit organization that she has opened in the summer of 2023. Sydney believes the expression of dance is a Univeral language and children all over should have the opportunity to learn and express themselves through movement. So, she is starting in the Coachella Valley. Along with running her studio in Palm Desert, she plans to add new programs to the underserved communities. The Sky is the limit for those who work, dream and dance with Sydney.

Miss Madison
Madison has been dancing since she was three years old and never stopped. She enjoys sharing her immense knowledge of the art of dance. With 16 years of dance experience. She has been trained in a variety of styles including Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap, and Contemporary. She has also been a member of a competitive dance team for many years and is currently the assistant coach for our Dance Company Team.
Madison loves working with kids and has such a great connection with dancers. Her enthusiasm and dedication to the craft of dance is infectious and is sure to inspire many dancers of all ages. We are lucky to have her on our team
Ballet Instructor
Mr. Tyrone
Born in Hollywood, CA, his first ballet instructors were Larry and Sarma Rosenberg, directors of Anaheim Ballet, from the David Lichine/Tatiana Riabouchinska school. Tyrone was invited to compete in the New York International Ballet Competition going on to dance with greats such as Janet Eilber, Fernando Bujones, and Mikhail Baryshnikov dancing all of the world’s classical ballets such as Swan Lake and Giselle as well as Bournonville ballets and a majority of contemporary classics such as Rodeo, Romeo & Juliet, The Filling Station and many Balanchine ballets such as Who Cares and Serenade with companies such as Nevada Ballet, Dallas Ballet, and Richmond Ballet; later touring internationally with the renowned Nikolais-Louis company. Tyrone has sung with Jerry Herman’s Broadway and acted in TV series’ such as FBI: The Untold Stories. As an instructor he founded and operated two successful New York dance academies teaching and coaching dance throughout the world from little ones learning 1st position to top level professionals in major dance companies, private studios, school districts, and in prestigious universities such as Adelphi University, NY and The Claremont Colleges, CA.
Ballet Instructor
Ms. Gail
Originally from the New York/New Jersey metro area, Gail DeZon began her ballet studies under the
tutelage of some of the world’s most revered teachers, including Vitale Fokine, Graziella Danielli, Muriel
Stuart and Finis Jung. As a Jazz dancer, Matt Mattox, Charles Kelly, Lynn Simonson, Phil Black, Fred
Benjamin and Luigi were her mentors. Gail’s formal training also included Boston Conservatory of
Music as a dance major/minor voice, Brooklyn College and many independent studies in NYC.
Gail began her teaching career at sixteen, providing instruction in Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Exercise
techniques throughout the New Jersey area. Moving to Brooklyn, she partnered in opening and
operating The Dance Studio of Park Slope, still thriving today. An ongoing collaboration between the
Studio and Macy’s resulted in co-choreographing many televised events including Macy’s
Thanksgiving Parade and the Tap Event for the Guinness Book of Records, assembling the
greatest number of tap dancers ever assembled. The studio partnership also created many staged
productions including multiple recitals and performances of the Nutcracker.
She then went on to teach at all three locations of the prestigious New Jersey Ballet, then under the
direction of Edward Villella; a further series of moves enabled Gail to continue to teach multiple dance
disciplines with a strong specialization in Ballet in NE Ohio, Philadelphia, Southern California and, as
a guest teacher in Tianjin, China. Eagerly sought after as a personal coach, she has also provided
private training for Olympic level skaters, gymnasts and regional dance teams.
When she first arrived in SoCal, Gail taught in Ontario, and then anchored Beaumont’s Dance
Spectrum for 14 years, which included choreographing their ongoing bi-annual production of the
Nutcracker. She has also taught and choreographed at the California Ballet Opera, Dance Dimensions
and Michael Nickerson Rossi here in the Valley.
Gail considers it a great privilege to also continue to exercise her vocal talents as a member of several
leading regional choral groups which provided the career highlights of singing in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln
Center, Philadelphia’s Academy of Music, Beijing’s’ Forbidden City, and Shanghai’s Grand Theatre.
Most recently she happily added The Redlands Bowl, the McCallum Theatre and the Segerstrom
Center for the Arts to her roster of vocal performances.
Based in Redlands, CA for almost thirty years, Gail was deeply involved in the community as a leader
in cultural and philanthropic efforts and also taught Ballet at the Brockus Conservatory. She continues
to stay current with the latest Ballet disciplines and modifications with online continuing education and
25 years of Pilates training. Now in the Coachella Valley since 2012, she continues to seek out
community involvement including school reading programs, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate
for a foster child) and the Ophelia Project, a mentoring group helping college-bound teenage girls.
Gail feels very lucky to have continued teaching wherever she has lived and looks forward to once
again being a part of Dance Dimensions’ faculty!

Miss Regan
Regan is an experienced and passionate dancer with over 20 years of experience in all types of dance disciplines, including Ballet, Jazz, and Hip-Hop. She has been involved in many local dance programs and has been a part of the Dance teams in the desert. Regen has trained and taught alongside her mother, Julie Ann, when she owned a dance program until 2022. Regan is an incredibly positive presence in the dance world, and her enthusiasm is contagious. Come and learn from her vast experience and knowledge today

Ms. Nicole
At the age of 13, Nicole felt compelled to follow in her siblings' footsteps by joining a ballroom dance team; Idaho Ballroom Academy. She instantly fell in love with the sport. Nicole’s years in high school provided her with hours of learning, dancing, performing & competing with multiple different dance teams. With these teams, she had many performances that took place all around the Western United States, into Mexico & Canada. Successful competitions throughout Idaho & Utah were great learning opportunities for Nicole & her team members. The most memorable competition took place in Blackpool, England at the World Dancesport Championships where she and her teammates on the Idaho Dancesport Academy placed 2nd in the world for their team division. Nicole attended Brigham Young University-Idaho where she received her bachelor’s degree in Home & Consumer Sciences with an emphasis in child development & a minor degree in dance. Her college years offered her the opportunity to join the BYU-Idaho ballroom & Extravadance touring dance teams. Once she married & started a family, she stepped away from ballroom dancing but continued to pursue instruction in other styles of dance. Her college degree allowed her time to explore Jazz, Tap, & Ballet all while raising her 4 little ones. This is Nicole’s 3rd season teaching here at Dance Dimensions & she is thrilled to be back! There is so much joy that comes from watching these dancers learn, grow, & find confidence to express themselves!
